Eric & Shannon’s Austin, Tx Engagement Shoot | Jon Brewer Photography - […] Eric & Shannon’s Austin, Tx Engagement Shoot Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 | Engagements, Photography | Jon Brewer This weekend, I had the pleasure of being able to fly down to Austin, TX for the first time to photograph engagement pics for Eric Vaughan and Shannon Lewis.  Man, let me tell you…the food down there is amazing.  I’m still nursing a food baby several days after flying home.  I’m definitely going to have to make a trip back for some more authentic tex-mex.  Also, I’m sure many of you are wondering how I met with a couple from Austin, TX when I’ve never even been there.  Well, Eric is from Indy and a fellow Purdue alum, and not to mention I had the honor of photographing his sister, Carla’s, wedding this past June (link here). […]

Jim Cerone - Jon – fantastic photos! With 2010 almost over, Carla & Adam’s wedding at the Columbia Club was such an incredible night. So glad to meet you and here’s to more fun in 2011!

Eric & Shannon Vaughan - June 25, 2011 | Jon Brewer Photography - […] I had the honor of photographing his sister’s wedding in downtown Indianapolis last year (link), so it was definitely an honor for him and Shannon to ask me to photograph their wedding in […]

Barbara Laib Simonson - Jon…Wow again! That is one wonderful, fabulous, gorgeous gown! A beautiful couple! My faves (no particular order) are: groom in car, bride and groom “diagonal”(?),bride on park bench, and the gazebo shots, particularly the long shot…it reminds me of the “sixteen going on seventeen” scene from The Sound of Music….
Can’t wait to see more wedding pics during this busy season!

Kelly Becker - Jon,
It was wonderful to see you again and also meet Ambria! It was a beautiful wedding wasn’t it?! And from the pictures you have posted, you captured the beauty of it perfect. With such artistry, they are AMAZING! If I know anyone in the Indy area getting married in the future, I will definitely refer them to you. You are simply an artist in photography!!!

Leigh Ann Pruitt - Jon,
All of the pictures you have done for the family have been absolutely AMAZING! You are so creative and always work hard to make sure the couple will be satisfied. I can’t believe the picture of you, Randi and Steve didn’t make this list of favorites though…lol. Can’t wait to see more from Saturday and anything else you do in the future. Keep up the great work!

Leigh Ann

Diana McKinney - Joh, The posted pictures are amazing. You did a beautiful job on Christine and Ryan’s wedding. I also loved the Steve and Randi wedding. I guess you are our family photographer.

Cant wait to see the rest.

June – The Month Of “Busy”

Well guys and gals, we are officially into June now, and apparently Mother Nature has finally caught on that the weather is supposed to be warm this time of year.  Along with the heat and sunshine comes a month packed full of events for Jon Brewer Photography.  This weekend, I’ll actually be doing something very rare for me and actually attend a wedding (Ian Pyle and Miki Lynn Disbrow)…as a guest.  It’s been somewhat interesting for me, as I keep trying to beat into my head that I don’t need to pack a car full of gear, nor do I need to wake up at 8am to be at the bride’s house to capture the moments of the bridal party sipping mimosas and curling hair. We’ll see if I remember that I don’t have to be there until about 2pm, haha.

Next weekend, I have the pleasure of photographing the wedding of the future Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Backs. Their wedding will take place next Saturday at the St. Susana Catholic Church in Plainfield, IN.  Reception will follow at Primo Banquet Hall in Plainfield as well.  The next day, I’ll be traveling up north to take engagement photos for Kevin Hierholzer and Lindsay Hoffman.  Their wedding is set for October 16 of this year up in Ft. Wayne, IN.

The following weekend, on Sunday, June 20 (also known as Father’s Day), I will be photographing, as well as sponsoring for the 2nd year, Midwest Volksfest.  It used to take place by the same Primo Banquet Hall listed above in years past, but has now found a home at  German Park on the south side of Indy.

And, last but not least on the 26th, I will be downtown for the wedding of Adam Waite and Carla Vaughan.  They will be married at the Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ at the corner of North and New Jersey Streets in downtown Indianapolis.  The reception will immediately follow (pending me dragging Adam and Carla around the Circle for some quick photos) at the absolutely gorgeous Columbia Club right on Monument Circle.

As you can obviously see, I have a busy month ahead.  This means for some exciting times, as well as some exciting stories to share with you all in the weeks to come.  Stay tuned while I try to keep the blog posts updated as the same pace as my schedule this month!  Enjoy the warm weather!

Jon
